This is a 1-week class for new or experienced sailors, ages 12 - 18. This class allows sailors to build confidence and enjoy sailing in a non-competitive environment.

The curriculum places an emphasis on enjoyment of sailing through engaging games, activities and adventures. The class is designed to be taken multiple times with new content and games each session.

Classes include brief lessons and demonstrations on land followed by on-the-water practice and games. Coaches follow their classes in safety boats, ensuring sailor’s safety and helping them improve.

Students will learn how to rig the boat, land at a dock or buoy, tack and gybe, sail upwind and downwind in a variety of wind conditions, and tie knots.
