Twin Cities Blind Sailing -- Volunteer Sign Up

Minneapolis Sailing Center is excited to continue its partnership with Twin Cities Blind Sailing. MSC is seeking guides who will ride along in Ensigns with blind sailors from Twin Cities Blind Sailing to provide basic instruction and assistance where needed. 

Twin Cities Blind Sailing will have cruising group sailing hours every other Saturday, starting June  1st from 10 am- 12:30 pm.  Cruising sessions will cover beginner through intermediate sailing skills for visually impaired individuals with the assistance of volunteer guide instructors.

From Twin Cities Blind Sailing leader Katy Boyd: "While living in Boston, I discovered my love for sailing.  From the first practice with Boston Blind Sailing, I was hooked.  I have been sailing for about  5 years, and have participated in regattas in NY, IL, MA, and RI.  When I found out that I was moving to Minneapolis I wanted to bring something I fell in love with to the Twin Cities."
