PARENT/CHILD OPTIS

CHILD AGE: 4-6
SCHEDULE: Monday and Thursday  6:00 - 8:00 PM
DURATION: Two Weeks
PUBLIC: $205   MEMBER: $145

Parents, this is your chance to learn to sail with your child, who is between 4-6 years old. This class provides an opportunity for parents and children to experience sailing for the first time together. No prior knowledge is necessary for parents as they learn how to sail with their child in Optimist sailboats. Students are taught basic concepts of boat rigging and boat handling. There’s fun onshore, with games, stories, songs, and more! Note: Students are not guaranteed to be on the water each day. If the wind is too strong, there’s fun learning onshore with games, stories, songs, and more!

The fee covers both parent and child. Only the child needs to be registered.

Note: The OPTIMIST sailboat is a small boat that requires bending down/crouching, stepping in and out, and getting your feet wet.
