Make-up class, if needed, held on the second Saturday from 9 AM-Noon.
DURATION: Two weeks

This beginning sailing class is taught on Ensign keelboats. The Ensign is 23 feet long and weighs about 3,000 pounds. Its full keel provides a secure, stable ride, and the large cockpit has room for six to eight adults.

The class will teach you everything you need to know to start sailing, including terminology, rigging, boat parts, maneuvering, points of sail, and rules of the road. No prior sailing experience is required.

Students will receive the US Sailing textbook "Basic Keelboat" to help reinforce concepts taught in class.

Children ages 12 and older can register for the class with their parents or guardians.
